Theres almost too many ways or options one can go with when selecting a fly rod.

You have the rod weight rating, the action, the length, the material, down locking, no wonder these discussions come up again and again.

Then there are the methods, dry, wet, nymph, euro nymph, streamer, it goes on and on.

What about casts, overhead, roll, bow and arrow, Belgian, Spey.

Line, Double taper, Weight Forward, intermediate, sink tips, full sinks.

Sometimes, fish in one place can be caught using multiple different set ups and multiple different techniques and patterns and sometimes it gets much more specific to a more narrow class of rods and flies.

Considering all these variables, its real hard to select a single rod. Thats why I like to have more than one.
