No hybrids or stripers on Aquilla. TPWD does not stock Aquilla, and it gets fairly heavy pressure from local fisherman. Lake Waco and Lake Whitney are both re-stocked with fish by TPWD on a regular basis.

Why the hell doesn’t tpwd stock lake? This was a great lake in the 80s early 90s so why have they not stocked this lake since 85?
Have they just abandoned it or what?

They tried to make it a trophy bass fishery...experiment failed...I have caught a fair number of 8lber’s out of it...always eat them...just like they eat the crappie...Laugh out loud

They have stocked some blues in there a while back.

TPW has to stock the Brazos system lakes, due to the golden algae blooms, depleting the fish populations...Whitney is starting to show some decent fish...don’t keep up with Waco.
