Does anyone have an older Ocean Trident approx 2007 and have you found a way to make the seat comfortable after 2-3 hours??

My neighbor bought Trident 11.5(2016 model, before the 2017 re-design) and it came with a fairly cheap, standard seat. He bought an aftermarket seat pad to put under the seat bottom. He's not a "long day" yakfisher, but he's satisfied with it.

My Perception Pescador 12(cheap!) came with a very lame seat. I finally upgraded to a Gone Fishin' seat, but the bottom pad wasn't very thick. I got a piece of 1-1/2" closed cell foam to put under it, which got MY bottom out of the water that always accumulates in the seat well, and IT and the seat bottom together give me a comfortable seat that I can occupy for 6 to 8 hours of fishing. A vast improvement.

If your seat back is adequate(mine wasn't), shop around for a pad to go under yours. I had to figure a way to keep the (wet)pad from moving forward out from under the seat, but it wasn't hard. If not, upgrade to a better seat. I found mine on E-Bay for $99.00, shipped! It included 5 Plano tackle boxes and two rod holders. Good buy!

Good luck, IslandJim
