I was wondering what y'all's opinion on pautzke fire dye? does it improve your catch rate with live minnows? if so whats the best color to dye the minnows with in y'all's opinion.

Dont use it and I doubt it makes a difference. What will make a bigger difference is if you take the time to catch your own minnows.

What is a minnow? And what is fire dye? Seriously, dont have a clue, but trying to alter a minnow by scent or color, would seem counterproductive...I do agree McKinney horned frog 2019 though...seine your own and you will quadruple your odds over store bought... If you want to doctor something...add some slabslobber to your plastic bait...

You could put atomic dye on a minnow and if no fish are close I promise they are not gonna come running.

When we could find them, we always fished red rosie's in the spring. In dirty water, it helped a bunch.
I could see chartreuse working.

It's a gimmick. Kind of like the crappie cakes to put in your brush piles. Either way you will catch fish so by putting that on there and you catching a fish you think "it works". Same thing with the cakes. You put them in your pile and you catch fish and think this stuff works even though you would have caught fish without it just as well.
