I’ve been fishing out of a pelican castaway 116 that I bought for $150. Now I want to upgrade to a kayak with more space and something I can stand up in. Max price I’ll go is $600. What is a good stable fishing kayak around that price? I like the ascend T10.

I had a malibu mini-x and it was a great kayak , if you go that route get the one with the adjustable foot braces not the molded ones. They have a lot of deck space and its wider than your ascend D10. The seat on the ascend mite be alittle more comfortable but I would take the mini-x if given the choice. You will be able to easily stand and even sit off the side without it tipping, I regret selling mine but the guy gave me a price that was way more than I put in it. I fished the bays and the rivers for four years with that mini-x and I can say it was very stable again I have no complaints about it. It should sale in your price range . I really would buy it again if I needed another one . Keep us posted on what you get
