I have a 2011 bass tracker pro team 175txw. I am planning on getting a new 80lb 24v Terrova....does anybody know If I will run into the issue of the trolling motor mount hitting the front bow roller during loading and unloading? Should I plan on getting a LiftSaver? Should I get one anyways just for the sake of a more stable mounting template for the front of the boat.

Also I have about a 2-4 inch gap from the front of my boat to where the garage the garage door comes down....will this new trolling motor hang over so much that a lift saver will be necessary to lower my garage door with the boat inside?

Saving up for the new motor and just trying to get all the particulars in line for when I get it...
Thanks.....

I just got done installing mine on a old ranger. While minn kota recommends installing it at the very front of the bow and hanging off the tip of the nose, Its not required. you can install it to the side if you want.

it will over hang about 6-7 inches off of the boat.

I got one mounted with the quick release bracket to a 2003 bass tracker and I have never had to remove it for loading or unloading the boat

I've never had an issue with it loading or unloading either on two different boats. I did buy a sliding mount once just to make the cover fit better. I have never felt the need to mount one for stability either. It would depend on your boat but I doubt that you have to have one unless you just want one.

Thanks for all the replies guys......looks like I dont really need the lift saver unless I need it for the closing the garage door aspect.....not to sure I would want to quick release the motor every time I wanted to close the garage door. That would get old fast.....I may just have to see what the footprint looks like when I mount it on the boat and see if the garage will close. Good to know I wont have loading and unloading issues tho......

Thanks again guys.

R&R Designs in Terrell. They make a very nice aluminum sliding bracket. This is what I put on my boat. You can also remove it by unscrewing 1 bolt. And they powder coated mine white.

Sent you a PM if you decide that you need to put one on. I've got one I'll make you a deal on.
