When I took my SHO 200 in for cutting out at WOT issues, the first thing they asked me was what additive I was using. When I told them Ring Free Plus they were happy to hear that and said that is what they recommend. I have used it for approx 165 hrs with no issues (WOT issue actually turned out to be a bent prop shaft and broken lower unit from hitting a stump at high speed).

I don't have that many hours on my SHO yet, but was told by the dealer to use Rng Free Plus and 89 octane exclusively with every fill up. Some use Ring Free Plus and fuel conditioner, such as sea foam. I've been contemplating that, but haven't done it yet.

250 SHO on a fishing buddy and customers bass boat. It is on its 3rd powerhead in 183 hours. He always religiously used Ring-Free Plus as told to by dealer. He is selling the boat because he has no warranty now. If you use Chevron gas, it has it already in it. He always used mid-grade fuel. Good Luck
