I just got a TR21 never had any tritons can u run 12in set back on them?

A 10" would be better. That's what most people I know that have a Tr21.

12 inch with 250 or bigger
10 inch with 225 or smaller

and that also depends on the year of the triton..
newer ones like 2010 and newer only run 10" no matter what size engine.
