Went out Tuesday to Joe Pool and hooked up with the 7.1 lb bass in the first 20 minutes. Fished 4 more hours without a bite. Regardless I had a blast. It was only the second time I've taken my new kayak out and I can't wait to go again. I need to start getting my kayak rigged with some accessories. I could definitely use more rod holders and tackle storage. Need to get a couple more trips under my belt before I commit on how I want things set up.

For sure! I've caught some decent sized largemouth before but this is the first that I've actually weighed over 5lbs and it may be my personal best. Haven't had a scale for a lot of other catches in the past. Hoping to get out on Joe Pool tomorrow and Tuesday too if plans work out.
