Canyon Lake has been crazy good! Birds working and fish schooling on the surface all over the lake. Caught my personal best today! 29” and heavy. Not sure the weight. Throwing flukes on jig heads and small swim baits. Whites are schooling right along with the striper under birds!

Good fish. Congrats! Talked to buddy River Guide, Shane Davies, the other day and he said the high potential new state record of catch and release striper may com out of Canyon this year. The current record is 42". partyon

Congrats on that PB ! Great pic too.

All the stripers I've caught this winter have been sleek and healthy with
thick bodies and no "little belly" like I've caught in previous years.
And strong fighters.
