Share your choice of line types for different baits. For example, do you use braid, mono or fluorocarbon for crank baits?

Fluorocarbon for everything except punching, top water, and frogs.

Big game for me. I should change but I was taught "if it ain't broke don't fix it". I fish lily pads, grass, rock, wood and about the only thing I do is re-tie more often than most. Hasn't let me down yet.

Flouro on anything I'm using feel. You can take your pick on moving or reaction baits. I am not a fan of braid but i use it to around matted thick vegetation and on my topwater walking style baits.

Share your choice of line types for different baits. For example, do you use braid, mono or fluorocarbon for crank baits? I am fishing conroe which is not overly clear. Anything bottom contact I use 40lb Daiwai samurai braid. Gives me excellent sensitivity and great hook set power. Its also nice to know once you have the hook set they are not going to break your line or get it off and it cast really well. For any type of moving reaction bait I typically use suffix mono 8-12LB depending on the situation. The one exception is for a jerk bait I use Seaguar Tatsu because it helps with get the jerk bait down deeper. I use seaguar invisX for any short leaders such as my carolina rig.
