So I just moved to Texas a few months ago and I'm learning to fish and get around on fork. I know where all the main public ramps are, but since i'll be launching solo most of the time and the big ramps are about to get busy I was wondering if there were any private/pay ramps that I could use? Preferably somewhere I can pull up on the bank or a place with a usable dock. I'd gladly put $5 or so in a box to reduce some ramp stress and stay out of people's way.

There are so many around the lake they don't really get to busy unless a tournament is going on.

I offered that [censored] at HWY 19 $20 to let me launch there the other day. I hate running from rainswood to the back of lake fork creek.

The Minnow Bucket and Oak Ridge are my two favorites, but I primarily fish the East arm of the lake. If your a West Arm kind of fella, Lake Fork Resort has room to beach or tie off.

Huh? I used to (b/c I'm boatless) run from HWY 17 in Big Mustang to the back of LFC all the time. It's a cakewalk from Rainswood.

We used to launch at HWY19 at the storage units when we hunted garret, elm and lfc.. my boat will only run 29 and loaded down will run 24.

Hideaway in Little Caney is usually wide open. $5 and two nice ramps with a great big dock. Only problem is Little Caney does not have a marked boat lane and getting in and out is pretty tricky if you don't know what your doing (lots of stumps) It takes 20-30 minutes to idle out to main lake.

I fish all the time by myself and launch at the public ramps. Just be courteous and efficient when launching and loading the boat... not a problem.
