In 2017 CAST brought something back to Couples bass tournaments that had not been done in a few years. A fully rigged bass boat was given away at the CAST Classic. Basscat Boats gave away a Margay to a lucky couple. It was powered by a Mercury 150 Pro XS.

We are extremely happy to announce that at our 2018 Classic, Basscat has gone above and beyond and is giving away a New Basscat Pantera Classic. It will be powered by a Mercury 200 Pro XS. The boat package will be valued at over $43,000. All you have to do to have a chance at this boat is Qualify for the CAST Classic in 2018 and come to Lake Amistad in Del Rio, Texas on October 19th-21st to have a chance at this amazing Basscat Pantera Classic. That's awesome right there. So there is a drawing for this boat from all the qualifiers, what do the champions receive?

Haven't fished with the "new" CAST but the original premise was that they wanted to give the boat away on Friday night as a doorprize to somehow make the tournament more enjoyable for everyone. Seemed to work. There is plenty of cash available to the winners of the actual tournament.

The boat does not affect the payout at the Classic.

Several couples of ours including ourselves would be interested in fishing the �South� division , but it seems the South region director is more interested in fishing Central Texas lakes !! Makes �0� sense to us as South Texas means South Texas . No Falcon�no Mathis � no Choke ???? Thought C.A .S. T. represented all areas of Texas ! What gives ??????

Richard lives in New Braunfels, which makes Falcon a little bit of a stretch, not to mention the guys feel comfortable fishing there, but possibly not the spouses.

Choke would be cool, they currently also hit Coleto. Or, you could start up a Deep South Division. Run the whole thing.

That�s why they only draw 10-15 teams to fish !! People like fishing tourns. on lakes they�re familiar with and not have to put up with another region sharing water . Bad call all around !! Central Texas ain�t South Texas !!!
