I second this, learning my lesson on an Advance Auto to replace one that I got a " deal " on posts came out once, replacement tested " needs replacing" after 3 months then guy told me straight up 3 more months warranty on that one, no exceptions", learning another life lesson, that I already knew!

I use the Everstart MAXX with pretty good results; however their warranty policy is a bit sketchy, or maybe it varies from store to store. From what I understand, the Marine Everstart batteries have 1-year free replacement no pro ration after, and the Everstart MAXX batteries have a 2-Year Free replacement warranty and NO pro ration after that. Just beware the warranty differs for Marine and Automotive batteries.

I may need to look on the website again, but I didn't see a Maxx Cranking battery large enough for my 250 pro XS in group 27 or 29. I bought three trolling motor batteries a while back. They didn't have the maxx. I just bought the regular group 27 deep cycle, they seem to do fine on my 921. I would have rather had the max but I wanted to fish that weekend and Jasper, Tx only has one walmart and I didnt want to drive to Lufkin.

Thanks, Billy

I've used them and have only had one go bad before the warranty so they refunded me the money then sold me a new one with a new warranty. My boat just came with Interstate or I'd be running them now. I do still have one of the old batteries that I added to my boat and it's still running strong maybe 3 years later. I don't let them run too low and always put them on charger immediately when I get home. When I did have the one go bad, I found the importance of having Walmarts everywhere. I was able to get it replaced and it didn't ruin my fishing trip.

I went with the Super Start Marine batteries from O'Reilly's. The specs on the battery seemed better than a lot of other(more expensive) ones out there. Had it for a couple months and been great so far. We shall see if they hold up.

I am on year 5 of these batteries. I am sure I will need to replace them this spring, but 5 years is pretty good. My last set of these same batteries lasted about 3 1/2 years. So far I would say they are pretty good batteries.

Do they make a group 29? Cranking battery suitable for 250 XS and electronics?

They make a 24 series 1000 cranking amp. It's not a big battery but has the most cranking amps of the everstart line. I suggest I high quality AGM for cranking and electronics then 3 everstart Maxx 29 for trolling motor if you want to save cash

I replaced my last set in July, just because I was worried they were going to give out on me in a tournaments they were 2010 models no reason to buy anything different for me.

Optima Blue Top for my starting/electronics and three of these for my 36v trolling motor. Works good for me:

I do not use mine as much as they should be used but had them in my boat since '13 and promise I will be putting three new ones in after graduation in May! My tournament partner Bigfishtx has had more trouble with his expensive batteries than I have with walmarts.

And I agree with the earlier statement. You can find a walmart about anywhere to get them switched out and you know it will have parking for the rig.

No reason not to be very pleased, anything over 3 years is a bonus imo these were all still holding a charge. Just worried they would leave me stranded every tournament it was on my mind.
