Whats up guys, I am looking for some more fishing glasses... I have my eyes on the Costa Blackfins, but does anyone else have any recommendations to check out before I commit to these?

any polarized sunglasses will work, how much money do you have to blow? In my mind just have a pair on you, it doesn't matter to me the brand name, your just at a disadvantage without them.

I agree that something is better then nothing....but to say there is no difference is simply lack of knowledge on your part. And, no....I don't own any Costas. But, if they were available under my eye/vision insurance plan, I'd sure have a pair. FYI, WileyX are pretty good, but even those are inferior to the lenses in Costas.

I'm not sure if Oakley is part of your insurance but they do make Rx glasses. They obviously make polarized lenses but they have started to make fishing glasses as well.

That being said, I love my Costas that I got from the Skeeter Owners Tourney.

I have gone away from black fin due to the two piece frame. I sweat so much that they separate after a period of time. I wish costa had a 1 piece frame that is Rx-able and wraps because their lenses are the best. I have gone to Maui Jim because of the frames, both around $700 for Rx and amenities that go with good glasses

It's been 8-10 years since I've owned Wileys, but the ones I had were junk. I had 3 pair and all 3 frames fell apart. Costas are as good as I've ever owned. I recommend trying several frames before purchasing. The fit and size varies to accommodate just about every mug. Research and select the best lens for the conditions you plan to use them for most. Amber is best for cloudy conditions or driving in rain. The blue mirror are great for sunny days. 580g are heavy, but very durable and they filter extremely well.

I have 2 pair of Costas Blackfin in amber and blue lenses. They are the best in my opinion.

Anything Costa is great... I've had a pair of Permits for going on 8 years, They're second to none IMO. Best advise I can give is to go with 580 glass lenses in green mirror for bass fishing.

I’ll vote for Costas also I have the Cortez model. I like a moron left them in the boat going down the highway and they flew out at 70mph. I turned around picked them up off the road and there was hardly any damage done at all just a small scrape on the frame. Like others mentioned go with the glass lenses the first time. I made the mistake of going with the 580P and those scratch so easy took all of 2 weeks before I had a scratch on them.
