Looking for a cabin/house in the area to take the family for a few days. Any recommendations?

I have used VRBO many times in the past, but was hoping for something a little more specific - houses, lodge, anything, because I have no idea about the area. Thanks though.

http://www.beaversbendcabins4rent.com Was there last December. We stayed in the Zaza cabin and by far one of the best luxurious cabins I've ever been in. The cookware was kinda lame, but wow what a nice place. I wouldn't hesitate in the least to stay with these people again.

We have been there a few times. Hilltop Hideaway cabin is nice with good parking if you take a boat.

Look around, find one in your price range, location needs and facilities. Rooms, Hot Tub, Game Rooms, all those are options.
Tons to choose from.

I've been up there a hand full of times, never at the same place twice or through the same company, and every one of them has always been great.
There's so many cabins up there, I'd just find one that looks nice, in a location that suits your needs and roll with it. As long as you don't end up next to a group of guys on a bachelor party it ought to be pretty peaceful.

Thanks for all the help - never been up there, so all this is good, and any suggestions on things to do or places to go/see/eat, please chime in.

Hike the State Park Trails, Ride 4 wheelers, Trout fish the river....(be careful of areas and baits/flies you use per regulations), Golf at the State Park (Mini Golf or Big Course on the lake), Visit the Nature Center in the state park. Fish for smallmouth and largemouth on the lake. Take a canoe or yak and tool around the river or the lake. Drive up Hwy 259 north for scenery. My favorite place to eat is Abendigos. Girls Gone Wine is nice for the womins.
Hochatown is the center of the area. There are cabins close to the eating places there....cabins several miles north and then more cabins near the state park river. Depending on what you are there for...is where I would choose my cabin. Riding 4 wheelers...north of Hochatown is idea...many of those cabins back up the forestry land. I like staying near the state park river so I don't have to drive 20 + mins to fly fish each morning.

You must stop at the Wal-Mart in Broken Bow...its one of the last old school WM left. I love that old store.

I will say, that it looks like everything is geared for the warmer months. Went there in December, looked like all the fun stuff was closed pretty much. Duck boats, Zip Lines, looked like a go cart track, all closed. Saw plenty of fishing guide signs though. Girl friend was sick for our 3 day stay, so it worked out. In the summer time, it looks like it would be a thriving place of fun for a family.
