Although this is my video, it was inspired by the fella over at Mangrovecoast FlyFisher's YouTube Channel. I whipped up a batch this morning, and hope to try it out tomorrow once it finishes dissolving, mixing and such.

Works well, I've been using it for a couple of years now. Cheap to make, just remember to have some ventilation around you! You can sub 9000 glue in it's place with the same thinner and same results.

I keep hearing people who love Sally Hansen's, but I've never tried it.

Sally Hansons hard as nails works good also, but it is really thin and my hair or feathers absorb some of it. I know it wears off of finger nails so I don't use it much. One thing I have found out using Goop or E9000 mixed glue is to keep the bottle upside down, it doesn't seem to evaporate as much or get lumpy. Xylol works very well as a thinner and around here it's much easier to find. It will thin both Goop and E9000. The stuff does stink!! I even mixed Goop and E9000 in the same bottle (accidntly) with no ill effects. Still stinks!!! Can't stress ventilation enough!!

Yeah, the ventilation is a a real deal. Thx for the tip on E9000. I've seen that right beside the GOOP.

Here's part II of the video. I'm liking this so far.

Been making my own for about 12 years now. The glue I use for when I finish a chenille jig I use my own and it's 50/50 Clear High Gloss Lacquer and Lacquer Thinner (I use MEK). For the kind like Dave's Flexament which I use on thread neck jigs I use some pretty dangerous stuff, it's Toluene and Goo, like shoe goo! Not stuff you want on your skin! The only one I like that is a bought one is Softex as it comes in a jar and sets up very hard!

Also I do use some Sally Henson's Hard as Nails, but usually as a clear over coat as long as it's not over Chartreuse or FL Yellow! After all guys remember fingernail polish is just Lacquer!

Seems same post that was on CDC a recently.
