I am heading down this upcoming weekend to meet my buddy to fish Toledo Bend...His lake lake is towards the south end so we are going to be fishing the cove that fin and feather is in which I think is Big Branch and the cove south of it Sandy Branch... It will be my 2nd time fishing Toledo (due to the 4 tournaments on Rayburn that weekend).
Is there any tips someone can share?

Only tournament I know of is TTZ out of fin and feather this up coming weekend. Fin and feather is in housen. Probably the most popular creek on Toledo bend. Lots of grass along the north bank across from fin and feather.

South of housen is six mile which splits halfway back into Sandy creek. You can fish a lifetime in those 2 areas and never fish it all.

Just what he said ....... and there is no reason to go anywhere else on this lake, just fish both of these arms and just pick them apart. whatever kind of fishing you like to do can be done in Six Mile & Housen.

10-4 guys!! Thank you... I've been trying to learn to jig here in the passed month, but it's definitely different than anything else... I'm more of a spinnerbait/t-rig/Carolina rig. Bout the only 2-3 things I really throw.

Stay in Housen and Six mile if you enjoy crowds other wise there is lot more to Toledo Bend than that.

Ken Smith posted two video updates/reports on Toledo in the last two weeks. Both are posted on here somewhere. They are pretty helpful...at least i think so

Awesome man!! thanks for this.. well needed to have a general idea of how to fish!

With the warmest weather we had since December coming, maybe it will push a little more up shallow. I don't have the capability and experience of fishing deep. Never been taught.
