It's been a GREAT week for the Rainbow Trout. This cold weather has really turned on the bite. Myself,Clayton-Wildman of the navidad,Steve,and David-Bandera Pass, limited out every day. We fished Wednesday,Thursday,and Friday. Limits were kept and a bunch were released to fight again. We had a BLAST! I met David for the first time at Lost Maples State Park on Thursday while waiting for the stocking truck. There was only Myself,Steve,and David there. We battled 30 to 40 MPH winds but all of us managed limits. It was a challenge. We fished Lost Maples again the next day and all of us limited out easily. We also released a bunch to fight again. The places fished were Palmetto State Park,The Sabinal River,and Lost Maples State Park. Gold Super Dupers,Gold Black Panther Martin Trout Lures,Berkley Power Bait Cheese Colored and Orange colored were the baits used. The days were finished with a GREAT lunch at Jalisco's on Trainer Hale Road,Old Forge Restaurant,Bandera TX,and Sid's Bar B.Q. in Bandera TX. Fishing with friends,making new friends,and catching loads of Rainbow Trout. It just don't get any better!

Banker I have been wanting to go but have not been yet. Fighting a cold last few days. Going to try
next week on Guadalupe.

It is always great fishing with friends. It is even better when you meet someone from the TFF! Good times and catching some Rainbows! That's hard to beat. Great fishing guys.




Side Note: Looks like the trout stockings will be coming to an end within the next two weeks. How long after the stockings do you catch trout?

Side Note: Trout do live year around on the Guadalupe between the Trail Race and Lazy L&L on River Road. (Trophy Zone Rules Apply past the Trail Race).
