I used to catch lots of fish at Colorado Bend in February. It has been a dry winter and water flow will be low. With low flow there has been a big growth of moss. It is hard to work a jig down the bottom with that much moss. Floating a jig on a bobber may work but it never produced for me what a slow pull of a jig through the gravel used to do. Good luck. Camping will be great.

With a few rains at the right time a few made it up last year. That was one of the greatest most fabled runs in the state until the construction of Lake ivy never was the same again! Like stated definitely going to need some rain to get her going especially around Brownwood Goldthwait and San Angelo

Still havent figured out how to post a link on here. Usgs has multiple real time streamflow data charts other than that its pretty much watching the weather and keeping our fingers crossed! I grew up just a few short miles from the regency bridge I really miss the glory days on that run!

Does anyone have any pictures they could share so I can get an idea of the water levels? How's the fishing been?
