What a difference a night makes. It wasn't near as cold and the wind didn't blow and the fish didn't bite either. Had to hit a lot of lights just to squeeze out a few fish. One of my worst trips ever.

At least you have the guts to go. I haven't fished in a month.

On a normal night PK you would be surprised how warm you stay when you catch fish on a steady basis. Friday night was a lot colder than last night but I was colder last night because there was less action.

Anytime is a good time while fishing. Good job. well said!!! At least you got on the water! Also its amazing what a difference a day makes. Looks like you hit it right the first night. Make she really look forward to day two! I have had trips that are reversed were the first day is terrible maybe even day two,but then you hit one of those days that make the whole trip worth it you never know.

About the only time I have had bad nights were on really windy or full moon nights and I try to schedule my trips around those. A dark night like last night with no wind should have been a banner night. Just goes to show you why it is called fishing and not catching.

I'm sure when catching fish you will not notice the cold. However, the run back to the ramp might get raw with that wind. A little spray of 40 deg water might add to the misery.
I'm probably down until late February. Sometimes in late February we get some still days with temps in the 50's. If that happens and I see some fish activity from my house I'll go give it a try in the day. If that dos not happen I'll wait until spring.
Keep posting those night trips. Love the fish pics.

Its almost strange but its really not to cold out there at night. Not unbearable anyway. But I always start getting cold for about the first hr of day light for some reason
