I will try my best but have to admit I am very computer ignorant about such things. You can go to the Century Bass Club website and go to the Angler of the Year page to see some info on Robert.

Going to be a tough weekend. Century Bass has it's first tournament of the year this Sunday. It was only a few weeks ago I was with Robert and we were talking about the upcoming year. My plans are to fish the Ray Hubbard Bass Club like last year and as many of the Century tournaments that I can. I elected to skip this first one to help out with the Illustrious Action booth at the Fun N Sun show. Anytime me and Robert were fishing different tournaments it was just normal that we call each other to see how we did and discuss the day or weekend. It is something I have enjoyed with Robert, my buddy Craig and brother Danny and others down through the years. I don't know what it is but it has always been such a blast to go over the what if's and share great memories that might have happened. The stories about the great fish catch or the heartbreak of losing a fish or just the discussion about what went right on a good day or wrong on a bad day. The strategies that went right or wrong. And one thing that Robert molded into me was that no matter how bad the day was dealing with the weather or bad luck on the fishing or the wrong decisions Robert was never upset. He was just as ready and excited to go fishing the very next day. I have always been really competitive in nature but especially now that I have realized that I am not nearly the angler I was years ago for a lot of reasons, I just really think that my love for fishing was really a result of being with Robert so much and I too never really get down because he taught me to not take it for granted and to always enjoy each day and look forward to the next. Sure gonna miss speaking with him this weekend to see how he did although I am sure it didn't take him long to already get his first limit.

Wish I could have been at the Century tournament for the remembering of Robert at take off but was working at the Fun N Sun show this past weekend and got to visit with a lot of Roberts and my old friends and we did a lot of reminiscing of all of our memories we had with Robert.

A memorial fund has been set up in Go Fund Me for Robert. Any help would be very much appreciated. Just go to Go Fund Me and do a search for the Robert Hargrove Memorial Fund.

Tommy, there were few dry eyes at take off yesterday as we remembered our friend. Rodney (I believe) played a tune thru his boats radio before Roberts name was called.

Yes I know. It was very emotional for me when I watched it on the Facebook page and wasn't able to be there.
It was an emotional funeral yesterday especially when meeting up with Roberts good buddy Bobby Cole who has been fishing with him a lot here the last year or more and we were arm in arm for quite a while remembering him. A lot of the Century Bass family some of which I haven't seen in quite a while came to pay their respects and it was great seeing them.
It is going to be difficult since me and Robert always called each other after each tournament to check on one another to discuss the day but I will also know that he will be in my thoughts every time I am on the water this year starting this weekend. Robert was like my big brother and will always be with me.

Just heard this news today as I'm not on the forum much anymore. He was such a good man. Great angler and always treated me fairly. I had the pleasure of fishing with him a few times and it was always an honor. We fished one of the coldest, windiest, wettest is tournaments that I've ever wet a line in, together. After about 2 inches of rain halfway through the day he looks back at me with the straightest face and says "starting to get a little cold, ain't it". I about fell out of the boat laughing. We both ate together at El Chico's afterwards. We were still laughing... You know it's cold when a little Mexican food can't get you warmed back up.

I'll never forget my first top 6 tournament on Lake Belton. On the morning of day one I was heading down to my day 1 draw's boat. In the dark I saw a silhouette approaching me. It was Robert. He sought me out to offer me some very kind words of encouragement. It meant more to me than he could ever know. I'll never forget that. He was the kind of angler that can bend the fish to his will. It seemed like no matter what the pattern was that day, he would still make them eat what it was he had to offer. That is a talent very few have. I know you'll be missed by many sir. Thank you. I'll tie on a "chicken rig" my next time out and I'll do my very best to make them eat it.
