Well so much for trying to find a good red trap in the fishing aisles. Another secret has been let out of the bag.
Love that trap! As stated above replace the hooks and you have a fish catcher. Lol...that cat escaped out of the bag a LONG time ago.....but it is a timeless fish-catcher.......with the proper hooks  and what are the proper hooks?

Ive got a bunch big fish on these traps with factory hooks

Do they still make the Excaliber lipless crank? I thought they quit making it. My mouth is watering, tell me they do. They don't. It's a mystery. But Booyah took the reigns and is producing these:  The Hard Knocker Is it the same blank and same rattle? I assume notbecause it say's "hard knocker". Does that mean it has one big rattle like the "one knocker"? One rattle. Like the old Cordell Hot Spots, when you were lucky enough to get one where the weight was loose.

Already happening! Out of the 200+ boats in TTT on Toledo this weekend I bet there will be at least 150 boats with some version of a red "trap" on deck. Well, you can atleast count those 150 boats out of contention.

Already happening! Out of the 200+ boats in TTT on Toledo this weekend I bet there will be at least 150 boats with some version of a red "trap" on deck. Well, you can atleast count those 150 boats out of contention. Yep ... the winner will not have used a red trap

Just my personal preference, but the Gammy EWG Short Shank 2x Magic Eye or the Owner STX-38 Zo Wire are extremely solid options
