I am going to be in Orlando for work the first week of February with one day off. Anyone have a recommendation for a guide? Just looking for a fun, laid back trip. Don't know a single thing about the area.

I fished a half day on the Harris Chain with Steve Niemoeller and he did a good job for me. We didn't catch a lot but nobody else seemed to be catching them that day either. I met John Leech at West Lake Toho and plan to fish with him in the future when I'm back down there. He has a pretty good rep and seemed like a good guy.

I just fished (December 15th) with Mike Arnoldy @ haulin bass. We were supposed to go to Stick Marsh, but I was running an hour late out of Orlando, and ended up going closer to another small lake. Took his airboat, which if you've never done was a blast in and of itself. Probably caught around 20 or so, biggest may have gone 3 pounds. Not the best day on the water, but that's fishing. Mike is a good guy and I just saw a picture of a monster he caught from Stick Marsh this year. 214-490-8638 is his number. Haulinbassguide.com. Give him a buzz. He can take you to any of the lakes near Orlando. Good luck!

Contact Al Laman 352-516-7470. He did a trip for me a few years ago and did a super job. Caught quite a few fish on Lake Griffin but more importantly he showed us a lot of areas on Griffin and Lake Harris for me and my sons to fish for the week we spent down there. If Al is not available, he knows a lot of guides at various lakes.
