The lake fished as tough as I’ve seen it today. Only managed a few small ones in the reeds today. How did y’all do?

I know there was a little tournament out there today. My brother and his partner won it with a little over 15lbs. They only had 4 fish. I think they caught some shorts to go along with that.

Worst day I've ever had down there. Not sure if it was the amazing amount of traffic or just a blue bird sky day. We only caught 2 all day.

Interesting, they bit good for us last saturday, were catching about 10 fish and hour. Had a couple over 3lbs but most were small, its still not like it was before the fish kills but best day we've had out there in a long time...

I did ok today and spoke to some folks that did a lot better. One old timer had his two young grandkids on the front of his boat, the youngest probably 7 running the trolling motor. I think he said they got 15 this afternoon. Ran into them several times during the day and they were hooked up. I was throwing a 6xd in 4 feet of hydrilla because I was too lazy to change to a rattle trap. Had my bait get fouled up and it surfaced and was dragging it back over the top and it got slammed. Stuck with it and kept catching. Spoke to some kayakers at the ramp when I got in that were prefishing for a kayak tournament there next week and they did pretty well with numbers and a couple in the 4 lb range I think everyone must have given up on the areas I fished as I couldn't believe I had a lot of area all to myself most of the day.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I lost a keeper on my second cast at the boat. Trying to flip it in.....so instead of digging out my net, I caught a 6pounder on my 3rd cast and had to hand land it. My hands were cold.

I only weighed in two fish. Caught 8 or 9. Mostly 2 pounders.

The winner of our tourney had 4 fish for 21 pounds. His kicker was 8.05.

He caught every fish in 20+ ft of water on the upper end. Where water temps were nearer to 60. The plant was cold.

I caught all of my keeper fish on the rocks using Rapala DT10 s. And wasted the last 5 hours in 20 ft throwing a c rig. (Head scratcher).

A week ago and three weeks prior, this would have netted me at least a 60fish day.

What a difference a warm front makes. I guess.
