We called them Virginia Mullet in N.Carolina!! Good eating.

Is now a good time to catch whiting in the surf?.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Is now a good time to catch whiting in the surf?. The recent cold snap may have changed things, but the last two weeks of December were good.

Is now a good time to catch whiting in the surf?. The recent cold snap may have changed things, but the last two weeks of December were good. so what's the best way to catch these little boogers? I wish I knew. We were catching them targeting slot reds tossing dead shrimp in the first trough out from the beach. I have no idea if there is a better way to catch them. We're always happy to have them, but I wouldn't pretend to be an expert at catching them.
