I would guess it anywhere from 39 to 42. What's your guess?

Spoke to a guy getting off GV at about 12:30 today - 39 - 42 was exactly right

I would hope that the next two weeks will warm that up a little before too big of a a shad kill. We should be on average warmer and sunnier than the last week with the days getting longer. And should have some windy days with temps in the 50-60 range which will bring it up. Still, probably more cold weather to come in February.

A massive shad kill is obviously something that hurts the ecology in the mid-term for sure --- Two winters with fairly large shad kills put a huge dent in the health of the game fish at Greers Ferry. A limited kill isn't a big deal because they are prolific little b_$tards.
