Is 1" of screen worth about $350 on the 9 to 10 Hummingbirds Mega Si?
That's the only difference I see.

1” by how many inches high? Might be more like 9”-10” extra inches when it’s all said and done. But I really depends on how serious you are about graphing. If you just fish the banks, then it won’t benefit you any. If you split your graph into multiple screens, then every inch adds up.

Split screen where the extra inches add up.

It's more difference than that. The H10 has a higher pixel density display than the H9.
It has about 3,000 more pixels per square inch= more HD display.

Go big or go home lol! I think its worth it if you can afford it! I had the helix 9 and didn't like it because I usually would have two or three technologies on the screen so everything was tiny! I went all out and got the helix 12 and glad I did!

Most quoted screen sizes refer to the diagonal distance in inches from lower to upper corner of the screen. Therefore a 10" vs a 9" is not all that much bigger when you measure the horizontal distance side to side. Maybe less than 1/2" overall. Jump to a 12" and the overall is much more. With touch screens the display menus take up a lot of the screen until it turns off. The HDS8 gen I I had is almost as big as the HDS9 gen3 I replaced it with. Should have got a 12" because I can't see stuff if I use split screen displays on the 9. Eyes ain't that good.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Buy the biggest that you can afford...not only do you get a bigger screen, but you'll get better resolution with the increase in pixel count.

I have two Helix 12's on my Seaark. It's like having big screen TVs on the boat. Love 'em.

The difference between the 9 and 10 huge. The 10 and 12 not so much. I'd buy the biggest one that you can afford.

The H12 has about 1400 more pixels per square inch than the H10 and you get 2" more display than the 1" difference between the H9 and H10.
