Start with smithwicks until you fall in love and are willing to upgrade to Megabass and luckycraft.

Start cheap, I love my Megabass but they get expensive after you loose one or two. Look at the KVD series from strike king they not real cheap but they cast a good distance with that weight transfer system.

If I had to pick only one jerkbait to throw it would be the pointer 65 XD in American Shad.

The 6th Sense 106X I believe are what they are called, but for 7.99-8.99 they are hard to beat. That said, Megabass by far make the best.

Megabass Vision 110 is the BEST.The action is awesome and bass can't stand it.Your choice of colors are endless,but I like the following colors the best.
MAT SHAD,GIZZARD SHAD,FRENCH PEARL,FRENCH PEARL W/ORANGE BELLY ,and ELEGY BONE.

It's hard to beat a Megabass 110. I use mat shad and MB Gizzard Shad a lot. The new silent 110's will start shipping next week if anyone wants to try something different.

stock up on the h20 when they go on hot deals for like $2 a piece...otherwise megabass 110.
