Has anyone ever seen or used one of these? I saw one for the first time yesterday.

We gave one to my dad, probably as a Christmas gift, when I was like 11 or 12 years old. That was back around 1983 or 1984-ish. We took it to Canada Walleye fishing one year when I was 14. Don't remember using it too much other than the Canada trip. I bet he still has it some where at home.

There was one also made that gave the PH and color selection. The PH was much more helpful.

Seems like I remember as those Color-C-Lectors first came out there were lure manufacturers (maybe Cordell) that jumped on the hype and made lures that matched those somewhat pastel hue colors.

Yep they started making all kinds of crank bait colors to match the color selector.

Did any of you'll ever use the water temp gauge? You would attach it to a sensor and lower to the right dept/water temp. The line to the temp sensor was color marked. Pretty cool also.

Those were originally marketed by Dr. Loran Hill during the early/mid 80's. They were promoted by Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston. Here is the "new" version available still today: https://www.ispikeit.com/product/6/color-c-lector They old ones worked as good back then as the HydroWave works today! laugh

Yes I remember my dad having one. It worked great. I remember using colors you would never think about. We would kill em back then. That was the good old days.

My dad just gave me his that we would use back in the hayday. We would not us3 it everytime but if we was struggling he would bring it out and we would tie on the color that it was recommending and we would catch fish. I don't know why we didn't use it more often.
