Here's another thing with me: I need a glove that won't get wet from drizzling rain. In other words, they need to be impermeable. Are the mentioned gloves good that way, or will they get soaked in inclement weather?

There are a lot of good ones out there, but I recommend getting two pairs of whatever gloves you like. At some point, every pair of gloves gets soaked and becomes useless. Two pairs are key for long days on the water.

If it's fingerless, it's going to get wet eventually. If it's really cold out really no thin glove out there. I like the goretex guidewear gloves or bps 100mph. Guidewear makes a good fingerless

For the cost conscious fisherman, I saw a idea, it was on a cat fishing forum,
but they take a jersey glove and cover it with a nitrile glove.
Hand stays warm and dry, cheaply.

Have not tried it so I don't know if you would be able to feel the subtle taps of a fish bite.
