Trying to add another arrow to the quiver, so to speak. I am looking for help from scratch, including rods, reels, line, etc. Any help is appreciated.

I bought the Dobyn's Fury 795 swimbait rod at the suggestion of many fellow anglers on this forum and for the price ($120) it's an excellent rod with the right amount of tip to launch that big umbrella rig. It's matched up with a Shimano Curado 200 reel in a 6.3.1 ratio (you would do well to get any 6 gear real for such a large rig) and it performs nicely. I use 20# Seaguar InvizX fluorocarbon line. Ideal for any condition you're fishing the a-rig in and tough enough to yank the rig out of anything you might get hung up in.

If you can't find em wind em.

I really like the Kistler 7'-11" MAD for A-rigs. Pair it with a Lews Super Duty 6.4 with 20# invizx and your set.
I use the flash mob from yum most of the time but have used Shane's Baits, strike King and others with success.
The keitech swing impact series work well, just match the hatch on the size and color of the baitfish.

I use a Dobyns 765 Flip for A-Rigs. Pair it with a Revo SX 7:1 and 65 or 80lb Power Pro braid

What you already have will probably work. Just get it in the water. If you can do that the fish will let you know if it's right.

I sure like the irod Genesis II 7'10" Bama Rig Special. I put a Abu Orra with a wide spool on it and the rig is pretty sweet. Seaguar InvizX 20 lb and your are pretty well set.

I throw one on the same setup I throw a big swimbait on. Might not be ideal but it works for me.

8' XH rod, a cheap Millionaire reel. 5.1:1 25lb Shooter in open water, 65lb braid in the nasty stuff (swimbait)
