So I'm shutting down for a little while and doing some much needed maintenance to my equipment and boat. Normally I'd be scratching and clawing to get out but not this time. Need to replace batteries and clean everything thoroughly. Other than the obvious things like lower unit oil, hub greasing, spark plugs, blah blah blah. What are some things ya'll like to make sure and do during the winter or whenever maintenance season comes around?

All electrical connectors. Disconnect, brush, spray WD40 on em & hook em back up. Every switch on dash/control panels, battery connections,ALL of them. Pull batteries, clean bilge area, replace pumps if needed, inspect all plumbing/hoses. Reseal transom bolts if due, reseal top plate across transom. Anything you can think of that doesn't get routine maintenance. I pull my TM prop & big motor prop. usually after every trip to check for line. Any line in a prop shaft seal is too expensive not too.
Any & ALL trailer maintenance/tires whelk bearings/seals, wiring , brakes, etc.

Prime fishing/tournament season is right around the corner, do that stuff when all of the wakeboard boats run all over your spots!

I pretty much take care of things all year round cause I never shut down but once a year on a weekend ( don't fish on the weekend ) I'll clean and pack the wheel bearings and bleed the brakes on my trailer and change oil and filters on my Yammy SHO.

You need to check for line after every trip. Filters annually is a good idea.

I put less than 30hrs per year on my engine, but I still replace filters and impeller kit annually.

Every two years on the water pump. But I fish year round...the filters I change as needed. No set schedule.
