Had the pleasure of taking Donnie and his boys Mitch and AJ out today looking for a mess a crappie. The bite started out a little slower today with the cold weather. As the ice started thawing out in the rod tips the bite started warming up as well. They hammered the crappie and managed to catch some tanks as well. One of the biggest black crappie I've seen was boated also. They had a blast and ended up with 37 solid keepers and threw back at least 3 times that many fish.
