Indian, Sand Branch, Wolf, Buck and even Isle DB are always mentioned for good fishing but I’ve never heard or seen Persimmon mentioned and it’s one of the largest arms on Ray Bob. What gives?

I've always called that the Denton Creek arm... the few times I've trekked up there we did ok, lots of t-posts in the water to gouge the bejesus out of your boat when you get way up there. I don't know the lane to get up there so it took me FOREVER at power idle speed to get where I wanted to go.

OK for all us dummies out here are we talking about the major western arm of the lake? Yes, that one. I only refer to it as Persimmon becuase that’s the creek feeding into the northern most tip of that major arm according to Navionics mapping app.

Wouldn't that be the Trinity River arm? I kayaked up there once or twice, didn't get bit. Some decent depth, and should hold fish!

I always heard that the initial large TPWD stockings were done in the eastern side of the lake in the timber and the western arm (Trinity) was not stocked. Agree the Trinity arm should fish better.

Used to fish the west arm and caught some nice fish but they were mainly south(on the dam side) of the first bridge. Used to go up there back in the late 90's and there's some awesome looking creek channels, but just didn't get near as many bites north of the bridge.
