Freeze warning in effect for a wide area of Texas tonight. You guys remember to put your motors down so they are completely drained. Would hate to see lower units frozen and cracked. Thanks for the reminder earlier Gato! Happy fishing!

Always a good reminder. I have the habit now of always lowering mine regardless of weather.

Good advise I had one freeze and crack in the slip at Livingston a few years back and it was down.
My sister said it was snowing at lake Brownwood.

Yep, snow and sleet flurries today in 38 degrees at lake Brownwood . Crazy! Big Sam, I'll gladly pull anchors and chunk nets in sub-freezing weather if ya show me some of those deep water, 2 liter slip float tricks! Actually, any of your winter tricks! I'm kinda comfy till sunrise though. Wood stove is my favorite friend at night!

Its 18* here this morning whip the water temp will be dropping fast.... Those floats are easy LF..... we been catching the fire out of fish last 3 weeks here is a 45 we got 2 weeks ago

and a "few" in the 15lb range

Great yard sale find Sam! Good blues too. My home lake isn't a great blue cat lake but I've released a few over 30" last week and kept a few under 30" for the larder. I'm doing better!
