I am trying to figure out why my 2004 90hp Mercury outboard, is flooding after getting it started and as I trim motor down it shuts off. Gas seems to be leaking out from motor. Does anyone have any ideas what this problem could be? thanks

Dirty or stuck needle and seat. These motors have a bowl vent that will allow small bugs (gnats) to enter the bowl. I put a small piece of fine screen in them. You might get lucky by removing the bowl drains and mash the bulb to flush.#23 http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Merc2/Mercury/90%20%283%20CYL.%29/9793577%20THRU%200P016999/CARBURETOR%20%28WME-29-30-31-41-46-47-48-49%29/parts.html
