I'm looking at doing some crappie fishing this weekend. Would be fishing from the bank, or off a boat dock. Any suggestions on where to go, and what to use? I'm still a rather cruddy fisherman so any help is appreciated.

This time of year is starting to be where you can catch crappie from the banks. If you're in Lewisville pick one of the 3 major lakes right beside you and go walk the creeks that are accessible. Small jig under a small float or bottom bouncing a small jig there should be crappie there. You'll lose a lot of jigs but should catch some fish. I don't know that area well, I don't even know my own area great, but there have been some good days mixed in. Toss your float as close to timber and laydowns in the creek as you can, and expect to get hung up. I use braid, with a float on it, a small swivel tied to 2-3 ft of clear line, that way when I break off I just tie on a new jig and don't lose floats. Have fun
There are no fish in sonic pond EDIT: Except 1 20lb catfish
