There are no more fish in Navo creek, all the construction & population growth ruined it, no fish, all the city trash & pollutant run off flows into it now.
If you're lucky enough to catch a few mud cat they'll have 3 eyes or 2 tail fins, some of them are a funky blueish color that glow at night. No fish.

man, i thought this was gonna be all super secret agent like stuff, preventive maintenance and all (pm's) and maybe a super secret agent handshake, oh well, lol,
but rustler is correct, i wont be fishing that for a long time, it had the fish kill last year, had some kind of contaminate coming up out of the ground draining right into the creek

What's the big deal. This site is ALL about sharing information. (Or it should be) Of course I have been in hot water for years for giving out the GPS co-ords for the brush piles at Ray Roberts.
What Mr. XXXX was referring to as Navo creek is the creek north of Little Elm where it flows under highway 380. The store that used to be there was called the Navo store. There are several ways in to it or you can follow the creek north from Little Elm ramp. (Carefully)
At my age sharing what I have learned in my 80 years is about all that's left.
Enjoy.

I don't mind sharing info with a few friends but it seems once someone names an exact spot to the masses of people the next thing you know there will be 15+ people there the next day and literally bags full of trash left on the ground.
I can think of one spot in particular that I showed up to on Sunday morning and before I could get my yak unloaded there was 4 trucks with a total of 6 kayaks unloading, 4 bank fisherman, 1 bass buster and a bass boat fishing the same spot, it was almost comical to be honest with you. I guess I just prefer a less crowded, quieter fishing experience.

Caught tons of crappie and sandbass there back in the day. It's actually named Little Elm creek, or was back then. You could access it off of hwy 380 at the end of Fishtrap Rd. The creek was only about 20 ft wide at normal level. Last time I drove over it on 380 it looked like the lake level had taken in the old fishing areas. BTW, Little Elm creek was the sister to what we called Big Elm creek which is formally known as Elm Fork of the Trinity. Denton County once had tremendous creek fishing with easy access. There were times that I would hit Big Elm, Little Elm, Clear Creek and Hickory all in one day. Good times.

If I go to a place to fish and it`s crowded i`ll just fish or go to another place at least i`ll have a decent alternative. Some folks will go to Heaven & say it`s crowded well.... HOW ABOUT THAT ALTERNATIVE BROTHA!?

Well put Sir. Never understood what the big secret was... To each his own...when you see enough trash to fill a garbage truck laying around each of those creeks and enough idiots blocking you in because they're too stupid to park correctly you'll realize why I said what I said. Eventually the cities they are in will shut those small parking spots down and we will all lose access. You used to could park all along the back roads next to the creek I fish in a lot. Now, there are no parking signs because the city got tired of the masses showing up. When it was somewhat of a "secret" it wasn't a problem.

I agree with stretch on this. When you fish creeks long enough and have posts like this pop up, you will understand what happens after. It's not about keeping it a secret but keeping the place from being overrun. You would be surprised how many people will camp out all night at the creeks after seeing posts like this. One thing to remember is there are tons more people that read this forum than post and they are looking for posts like this so they can run out and fish them. 986 people have read this post and if 20 of those people decide to go to these creeks, they will be crowded. Just my observations

None of the creeks are secret. Certain spots in the creeks that aren't easily accessible may still be, but the creeks themselves aren't. Telling someone where Navo creek is, doesn't hurt anything.
What a maroon!
