I was driving about 13 mph and my hat blew off and went right into the prop. I went to put her in neutral and screwed up and put her directly into reverse. Made a bad grinding noise and now the prop will not turn in neutral or forward but will in reverse although it is making a hard clicking noise. Not running engine because it was making the clicking noise when I tried to restart it. I need a mechanic that can do work at Cypress Springs on a lift. Any suggestions on mechanic? After 10 years with this boat that was the dumbest thing I have done. Thanks for suggestions if you know someone.

Buy a new, remanufactured, or used lower unit and swap it out. Doubt you will find anyone that will rebuild a lower unit hanging over water.
