Hey guys I've got a 2001 Mercury 175 EFI and lost compression. I'm looking for some recommendations to do a rebuild or give me some options, preferably in the north DFW area. TIA

A second for Texas Outboard Rebuilders. Have 2 buddies that have motors done by them, still running strong.

Be sure and check the price on a Mercury remanufactured powerhead.

Stay away from anything with Blackbird in the name.

I second this.

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything. Remember what He has done and remember that He is not done yet!-- GOD IS GOOD

He normally has the engines sent off to get all new sleeves put in. All new pistons, rods and bearings.
Its like a new engine if the core is good. I am having a 225 pro max build up right now. I expect it to be as close to a new rotating assembly as you can get for a 20 year old engine.
