What do you guys think?
I've fished when the tables say it would suck and have had a lot of success and Ive fished when it says it would be great and have gotten skunked....
I am starting to think that most days are at the whim of the fish!

App called iSolunar.

It's just one of a number of factors like weather, wind, cloud cover, barometric pressure, etc. I think it helps somewhat.

They need a app that combines the solunar with real time weather then give a rating.

I think fishing is 99.9999999999% effected by everything else besides the moon phase.

I think anytime you get a chance to fish - you should fish.
The pros don't get to pick the days they get to fish and they seem to figure it out regardless of tables or inclement weather.

Ralph Manns has kept records for decades and he believes that the MINORS are better than the MAJORS. He has published data that show they work, FOR THE MOST PART, given everything is equal, which is NOT the case in most instances. He told me the last 5-7 years the minors have been more successful than the majors. He plans his fishing around the minors and does quite well fishing out of a bass buster on Ray Hubbard. He has probably forgotten more than I will ever know, so I try to pay attention to him when he says something about fishing. He once cordoned off a cove and fished it 60 minutes with the sonar on and 60 minutes with the sonar off and what do you know, 30 minutes after the sonar turned off he started catching a lot of fish. THAT is one reason I normally only use my sonar going and coming, sometimes to locate a school, but often just on the move, on highly pressured lakes and my catch rate seems to be better than other fishermen, reportedly what they caught, anyway. But, that could be circumstances. BUT, I agree with Txduckhunter, FISH WHEN YOU CAN and to heck with the solunar tables, but when you CAN, fish the minors. He says he catches bigger fish in the new moon on a major, but fewer fish, too. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I've ran enormous piles of data looking into this subject. Solunar tables do not have a statically verifiable connection to increased catch rates. The one thing that matters most, much more than weather or barometric pressure, is human fishing pressure. I'd rather fish an east wind Wednesday than a west wind Saturday, any day of the week.

weather conditions trump moon phase, especially barometric pressure.
