Fished Fayette all day Monday. Awesome weather/wind...water temp 74-80 depending on location...lake down 1-2 ft. Fished all over at multiple depths & ended up with 19 bass & 4 bluegill. Only targeted bluegills for maybe 1.5 hours. Tried a few spots highlighted by Plasma800 (buzzard point & secondary point behind) last week with no luck. Finally found a pocket near a reedbed I had some past success, ad ended up with these 4,

now in the freezer. No big bass today...most in the 2-3 lb range. Ended the day with an "incident" at the ramp involving an electronic bank fisherman, about 100 yards of braid wrapped around trolling motor & lots of yelling....thank goodness we had witnesses when the warden arrived !

I saw a guy and girl camped out and carp fishing near the Park Prairie boat ramp on Monday. Is the guy you "tangled" with?

Fished yesterday from 11 to 5 and caught 20. Biggest was around 3 lbs. Fished several spots but most were caught on a grassy point.

I guess so...not sure what he was fishing for...and it was Monday when we fished as well. Did not see his lines until it was too late...that's when all the bells and alarms went off & we both said what the heck is that. Now we know...he said his line went 150 yards out, and that we should be fishing in other parts of the lake...plus a lot of stuff not repeatable. I got the feeling he has had his line cut before, and kept threatening to charge us for damages. Anyway we carefully unwound the line from our trolling motor...lifted the big motor and moved to another area. Lesson learned...

The guy is a jerk. He camps out and he is fishing for carp. He thinks that area is for him and him only. He uses a yak to take his bait out and drops it down. He will also drop some orange fish marker buoys to mark his territory. Not sure he does this all the time, but I have seen him do it a few times. But there are carp fishing clubs and these guys take it very serious like bass anglers do. He has a nice set up, but he needs to remember that boaters are not use to seeing bank fisherman on this lake, most guys use the docks or the boat slips to fish from. This guy has been fishing that spot for about two years now.

He was there today. He let us know he had lines out. He was nice enough about it. We went around them on the trolling motor. He said thanks. No big deal.
