Anybody been lately? Can't stand hunting while sweating so plan on going with brother in law Saturday in his bass buster w little outboard. Probably each take a crank bait rod and a jigging rod and go bend to bend tree to tree...any tips? Sold my kayak a year or two ago...really miss that river!

I was there Monday, fished all the way down to Cranes Mill, and caught two. Water was a good color, and about 72 degrees, they just didn't seem to be around. I did see one guy hit a stump and spin the hub on his prop. It's about three feet low and very dangerous in the river.

I fished last Friday out of Crane's Mill. Fished up to the first big turn in the river. Caught a nice LMB on my first cast - and that was it. I had a few taps but I don't think they were sac-a-lait...

Usually in mid December the Crappie bite picks up in the Rebecca Creek area!

Same kinda results for us. Stumps abounding! Messed up transducer pretty quickly, so we went blind and I only got 2 bass and a bluegill. So beautiful and few boats...deer running in full rut, watched a group of probably 20 turkey and got to listen/watch em for probably an hour. Some ducks, geese, osprey, hawks...still a great day! Gotta put the reps in down there...we are going to make that our meet up spot, so we will hopefully figure it out sooner than later.

I saw you guys Saturday in the buster. I was there in my Jon boat with a friend. We struggled too with 5 crappie on minners not one took a jig we also trolled some cranks and caught 5 dink bass doing that. We also threw lures in back of Rebecca( straight from ramp) and caught a few bass this way. It has been tough lately.

Little early for Rebecca creek. Late December through March is great up there! Yep! I just got a kayak and want to try it out. Is everyone talking about fishing upstream on Rebecca Creek or heading out of RC and fishing upstream in the Guadalupe? I assume the 'rapids' is on Rebecca? Any tips for white bass other than minnows? Thanks.

Crappie are closer to Rebecca creek launch.. the rapids are way up the Guadalupe. Launch at Rebecca creek, go too the river and turn right and go 4-6 miles. The river kind of dead ends into the rapids whites tend to be up there to spawn. They are also on the main lake as well. Minnows work well.
