So I’ve been thinking about getting a BullShad Swimbait here lately. Are there many people on here that have tried them and had success? If so what size?

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Don't have one, but it's on the wish list (I'm on the slippery slope of buying more bigger baits)

That being said, I'd get the 5". Could be thrown on any Heavy power moderate to moderate fast action rod--I'd actually throw it on the just about unbreakable MH Ugly Stik (lots of parabolic action for treble hooked baits and plenty of power)--what I use for treble hooked baits from 1-2oz

Once you get heavier than 2oz, that's when I use my XH swimbait/Arig rod.

The 5" Bull Shads are 1.3-1.5oz slow sink vs fast sink.

The 6" bull shads are 2-2.4oz depending on whether you get the slow or fast sink.

A little pricey for me but I know guys have done very well with them. You probably get a little more feedback if you ask your question in the bass section.

Do it Shawn. Ive been throwing them for several years. They are by far my favorite swimbait.

I keep looking at them. Great looking swimbait. Pull the trigger and buy it.
