Guys I would like to take a poll. If any of you were going to book a guided striper fishing trip in Tennessee would you go to the clinch river or Cumberland river and what guide service would you recommend using. I am wanting to go catch a 30 plus pound wall hanger to mount for my rod room. I am sure there has been someone fish these waters and could help me make a choice
Thanks in advance for the advice.

We fished the Clinch river earlier this year. Caught several fish over 25lbs with the biggest going 38lbs. Fished with Ezell Cox in one part of the river and a guide buddy of his on a different day in another part of the river. It was a great trip.

TN is hidden gem for giant freshwater stripers. So many lakes and rivers there with monsters lurking. Beautiful sceneries too. Ezzel Cox is highly recommended. Great person and guide. He is extremely knowledgeable on stripers ...with one P.

I will also highly recommend Ezell Cox as a good choice. Fine gentleman and very knowledgeable on catching big stripers. He likes to target big fish with big bait. If you want to catch numbers, he will go that route but he specializes in big stripers.
Wife and I fished with Ezell Oct 24. We were scheduled for the 23rd but a front blew in and a lot of rain consumed most of the day. He called late that afternoon when there was a break in the rain and we hit the Powell River arm on Norris to check for fish. Got to fish about 2 hours before another storm ran us off. That was a free trip looking for fish. Hit the Clinch River arm the next morning and fished till 2:30. No big fish on this trip. All the rain had muddied the water where he wanted to fish. The off color water had moved about a mile and half down the lake already and the fish had moved as well. Weren't able to get on the big fish but he looked diligently all day. Had excellent baits on board. Just one fine man to share a boat with.
