Does anyone fly fish behind the spillway at Roberts. Interested if the stream flow has anything to do with how much success a guy has. I know Moonriver caught a record hybrid there a while back. I remember that we had had a lot of rain and they were releasing a lot of water. I saw that they have only been releasing about 60 cfs lately. Just curious if that's a bad thing, good thing or if it really doesn't matter. You guys have any experiance? I may start fishing down there some, may even shoot a video if I can figure out how to catch some fish.

When they are releasing water it can be really good. Just a simple roll cast let the current take it and hang on!

I have been exactly once, when the water wasn't running, and it sure looked super dead. I got skunked anyways. Spotted a few bluegill in the rocks, but that was about it. Might be good for carp on low water if it was clearer.

Does it make any difference how much they are releasing or is it just a matter of the water moving? Is more better?

Thank you Smurfs. It was posted at 16 this morning. Might be a bit dry back there. Supposed to have some nice weather towards the weekend. May have to go on a recon.

If we get rain in the spring, maybe we can get it going again. This year (2017) was exceptional, and there were a lot of days the conditions were "combat" style. The cat is out of the bag when it comes to this "secret."

Not something I eat, but plentiful and some clients do like them.
