Due to some arm numbness it is time to have C5-6-7 fused. Cervical stenosis is for the birds. From diagnosis to surgery in about 4 weeks time. Dr Dossett and the Carrell Clinic is the best and the one that did my back in 2012. I am a little more nervous this time!! Please if you are the praying type send one up for the Dr, staff and my wife!!

I know where you are coming from. Had C 3,4,5,&,6 fused in 1966. Took a full year to make full recovery. Broke C2 in 2013. No operation this time. Used a torture device called a Halo and let the vertebra fuse itself.
In 1980 or so I injured my back and the doctor said to change jobs or get 3 mid back vertebrae fused. I changed jobs because the aro I went through on the first operation was still fresh in my mind. Thirty some odd years later not having the back fusion comes back to haunt me in the form of backnpain that cannot be fixed.
Doctor said take it easy on the back and gave me a pain pill prescription.
I think back surgery techniques have improved enough that you should not have to worry about having the operation. Good luck

My wife is about to have the same procedure. 3 different rounds of shots have done nothing. She goes Thursday for the mri to determine how many joints need fusing.

Interesting. I have an appointment with Dr. Clavenna this week too. Thought I had a hip problem, but a second opinion and some MRI's told that it is a bone spur of the spine on the sciaitic nerve. I hope they don't go down a "therapy" and snake oil path. Just cut that jasper out of there. Prayers sent for you though for sure, best wishes.
