In your experience in these DFW reservoirs - are crawfish a major player in our fisheries? I know the fall is a peak mating season for them fellers but do they heavily populate our lakes?

Main forage of bass and humans at Toledo Bend. Fred Arbogast came out with a crankbait called a mudbug ( what Cajuns call a crawfish ) and I've caught many a bass on them. Had to order them from Toledo Tackle because stores around here wouldn't stock them. Can't find'em anymore and they really catch bass especially chrome w-blue back.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

Best tip I ever got was from the guru Don Harper. His advice was to turn over some rocks on the shore line
till you find some crawls, then use a jig that closely resembles the color pattern of the crawl.

AND if you want a jig that gives a great resemblence, then you need to look into
Don's BabyDoll jigs. Thing I like the best about them is he uses natural hair on the
skirt, so the movement is very life like, but also it holds the scent you can apply.

Here is a video from back in 2014 about the BabyDoll Jigs

Wow, Big Kanhuna. Thanks for digging that up. My Hot and Cold concept at the end is an interesting concept.
CAST Industries has developed this jig for me now; but still looking for a company to build the Heat Capsules.
