I need (want ) to update my Lowrance HDS Gen1 this winter. Cant decide on Gen3 or Carbon but thats for another thread I guess. Is anyone investing big bucks on the airmar chirps like the B75m or B175H-W? Or just sticking with the lower end skimmer type? I would love to do the StructureScan 3D and B175HW but damn that is a lot of money for a weekend warrior like myself. Any thoughts or experiences on the subject?

I personally am gonna get the Airmar t150 tm. It's the one that everyone seems to use and is between $240-$300. The others are more like $2000. I'm getting really good chirp readings on my standard gen3 transducer so I'm not in a rush to get the 150.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I'll be going with a thru-hull but I'll definitely keep the B150m (thru-hull version of the TM150m) in consideration.
